Captain Chris Stover Scholarship
EBOA Student-Athlete/ROTC Scholarship
The Evergreen Basketball Officials Association (EBOA) is proud to offer a $500 scholarship to one male and one female, current seniors who participated in JV or Varsity Basketball during the 2023-24 season or current JROTC seniors at schools in Clark County, WA. This award is in memory of US Air Force Captain Christopher Stover, a former Evergreen HS student, varsity cross country and track member, US Air Force Academy graduate and Pilot, and son of Rick Stover, an EBOA official. Chris was tragically killed during a helicopter training mission while preparing for another deployment.
A committee composed of EBOA members and at least one Board member will make the selection of the scholarship winners.
Applicants should show leadership on their team/unit, contributions to the community, and academic excellence. Applicants need to fill out the online form, submit a high school transcript and two letters of recommendation from a coach, ROTC leader, community leader and/or teacher. Letters of recommendation must also include phone number and/or e-mail address of sender. All applications must be submitted to EBOA on or before MARCH 29, 2024.

Announcement of the scholarships awarded will be made by the end of May each year. Scholarship winners will be required to accept such awards for use during the next succeeding school year.
